47-0 Regular Season - 47 point difference
62-22 Playoffs - 40 point difference

Come on now Counts, the 2nd game was closer.

I do think this years game will be a little tighter for some reason, but I still don't think Appy can pull it out. Just my opinion

1st game Appy drove the ball well but could not stick it in the end-zone and Burton put it on them

2nd game was over by the end of the 1st qtr and Appy did not move the ball AT ALL the only reason for the point difference being closer was the subbing of doom done in the 2nd half by Burton

IMHO Appy played Burton MUCH Tighter in there first game now if weather had anything to do with that or not I can not say for sure but Nasty weather seems to favor Appys stile of play just as Turf seems to fit Burton

And it is not like I am picking Appy to win in any case just that bad weather will make it tighter

Re: appy at burton

Bad weather is something I never can figure out. You have times where it looks like the bad weather hurts a fast team (due to footing) but you have the other side where it seems like it helps because they know where they are going and don't have to change direction as much.

Say if it nasty, people try to say that the rain would help Appy. Potentially it could, but unless there are some miracles, rain would affect both teams, and a slick ball is a slick ball for both teams. So you would expect both teams to turn the ball over, and you would think that Appy is more capable of playing 3 yards-4 yeards-3 yards-2 yards type of game than Norton, but if the weather affects both, wouldn't it potentially affect Appy more, I mean they probably would need to have long drives, keep the ball away from Norton, and with the bad weather that would seem less likely, while Burton would be able to take one/two to the house more likely?

I don't know, just remember hearing how rain is supposed to affect a passing team more, but the problem seems to be that most of the passing teams just run shorter routes, dbs slip because they dont know where the receiver is going, and instead of 60 yards bombs, they throw 10 yard passes that run for 50.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

Re: appy at burton

If you have a big, strong, tough offensive line...rain almost guarantees success. Rain for the most part put a damper on the flashy skill players and magnifies the play of the O and D lines.

I still always say, fast people still run faster in mud than slow people.

Re: appy at burton

Playing in mud comes down to learning to shorten your stride regardless whether you are 280 or 180. That is why it is an equalizer, cuz many speedsters can't figure out that if they stride normally that they are gonna end up on their rear. IMO, it takes more agility and athletic ability to play in the mud.
